The quality is outstanding and the features (pockets, zips, etc.) well-placed. I do find it a bit heavy and the fit is tight.

Gryphon is a Canadian company with a U.S. subsidiary – not unusual in this day and age.
Just an FYI – Joe Rocket is no longer a Canadian company owned by its founder Bruce Parker, but was bought out by its South American distributor a while ago. G-Max helmets, which started out as a wholly owned Canadian company was sold some time ago to (I believe) offshore interests.
Money makes the world go round – spend it on good quality as you see fit.

Indianapolis Indiana. Price point is about the same as companies that have been around for while. Thats the issue, first gear offer 3 years warranty. Really the last thing I want is drop this type of cash and 1.5 year of daily Vancouver use and it s leaking . Rather buy last years gear from places out of the usa like motorcycle closes out etc.

As you mentioned, I find it a wee bit warm for hot summer days when something with more mesh might be better. Glad to see a new Canadian player in the tech wear market.
BTW – here’s a link to the Canadian site with $ CDN pricing: https://www.gryphonmoto.ca/#/
