I think what makes that R1 commercial so terrible is that at the end we don’t see and most importantly HEAR somebody absolutely thrashing one. All he ever does is sit on it.

It may be nostalgia marketing, but the fact is, like the the R1, the triumphs and bonnevilles (haven’t ridden RE yet) are astonishingly good and capable machines. They actualy live up to the hype.

Michael, a great piece of writing even if it does pick at the scab on the industry and make it bleed a little. I wonder what people outside of the industry think of it?

Nice series, Michael, enjoyed it up until I viewed that Yamaha advert in this one … Gawd, it was embarrassing just to watch it!
