This will give them multi point control of their body
During braking deceleration the hands and legs will hold them back when baking with out upsetting your body position as the push you will feel is down low This prevents throwing all heir weight onto you, your hands and thus to the handle bars.
During acceleration The legs holding onto your hips will keep their strongest muscles keeping them from rolling backwards Remember they will no longer have the ability to desperately grab onto what ever they can get ahold of again with out disrupting your ability to control your bike. it should go with our saying but I shall say it anyway Full throttle operation will cause an inexperienced passenger to be terrified NOT Impressed with your manly bike
Tell them when you are turning LEANING will be involved. Do not ask how I know. The easiest way to get the right placement is to say when I lean left look over the left shoulder When leaning right look over the right shoulder easy peasey
One sign you should learn is when at any time you are planning to accelerate such as to pass a car
Just tap the outside of their knee which is the signal to tighten the grip on your hips and Lean a bit forward to reduce the feeling of rolling backward
This has worked well for me for thousands of miles To the point my passengers have been known to dose off or get the nods as I call it but they have never fallen off
