I have a 1993 Klr650 that I am working on getting back on the road after too many years of sitting in the garage. Rode it with Rob on various back roads around Ontario back in the starting days of TMG/OMG. Would like to swing a leg over the new bike to see what it is like. Nice to see a relatively simple, relatively inexpensive bike that is a great bit of everything bike for exploring dirt roads and country back lanes. Would always be better to be lighter, but willing to trade off higher weight for lower cost.

I would NEVER buy single cylinder bike. The noise from one cylinder is so anoying!

Naysayers are going to rant on “what about this, why doesn’t it have that” – the KLR enjoys a long, well founded respect for being what it is, nothing more or less. If I were to take a ride to Nunavit or Tierra del Fuego I can think of no finer companion.
